The World Came To My Place Today

The world has come to your place today. Your breakfast cereal came from China. Your orange juice from Spain. Your rice from Cambodia. Your clothes and toys travelled from across the globe before reaching your home. Harvest festivals invite us to notice—to pause and see what we take for granted. Behind every meal are farmers, soil, rain, sunshine, and countless unseen hands. The Bible’s harvest festivals weren’t just about abundance; they celebrated connection with God, one another, and the land. When we recognise what we’ve received, gratitude becomes action. We ask: How will we share? How will we welcome? How will we ensure everyone has enough?
