God doesn’t lean away from you. He leans towards you. When you’re bowed down by grief, stress, guilt, or pressure, God doesn’t respond with frustration, he responds with support. He upholds. He lifts. He carries. You’re not a burden to God; you’re the very person he moves toward. Think of a climber hanging from a rope, the rope doesn’t depend on the climber’s strength. You depend on God’s faithfulness. Your strength may fail, your grip may slip, but God’s grip is stronger. Whatever you’re carrying today, whatever has bowed you down, lean into his compassion. Let him lift you again.
