August 3rd was a very special day in the life of Bell Road. In the morning we welcomed 4 members by transfer from other churches. In the afternoon during the Gujarati Fellowship service we were really delighted to welcome a further 25 members by confirmation.
What a day of welcome and celebration!
It was a ‘first’ too as we witnessed the first baptisms by full immersion that we think have ever taken place at Bell Road. We were grateful to Putney for the loan of their ‘baptistry’ pool.
7 people were baptised and for those able to witness this occasion it was very special. Two of those to be baptised shared very moving testimonies.
Janet and Jackie welcomed the new members on behalf of the whole church and presented gifts.
