Holiness Looks Like Love

Holiness Looks Like Love

What does it look like when your faith actually changes how you treat people? In this sermon, we explore what holiness really means. The prophet Leviticus reminds us that being holy isn’t about religious rules—it’s about how we treat one another. Jesus distils the whole law into two commandments: love God, and love your neighbour. But what happens when your neighbour is difficult? Different from you? When loving costs you something? Drawing on John Wesley’s vision of “social holiness,” we discover that growing in faith isn’t a solitary journey. We need each other, challenging one another to recognize God’s image in everyone. Holiness, it turns out, looks like love.
