Hounslow Methodist Church has always engaged in many different forms of mission and this is something that is constantly increasing in breadth and scope. We take part in directly evangelistic mission with live music and other events which provides a platform for Christian Artists and somewhere for people both Christian and non-Christian to enjoy high quality Christian music and events.
The church is involved in campaigning, on local, national and international issues. This has involved raising awareness, lobbying politicians and engaging with charities. In addition the church takes part in ‘Cafe Together’, an ecumenical project on Tuesday evenings together with St Mary’s, Osterley (part of the Shelter Project, Hounslow) and ‘Welcome Place’ on Friday lunchtimes offering free food and company to the lonely, vulnerable and homeless in our local area.
All this in addition to our regular giving and fundraising for many different charities!
