Simeon Wood
4th April 2009
“My commitment is to use my music and gift to introduce people to Jesus or to help those who already know of His love to journey further.”
On leaving Trinity College of Music, London, Simeon joined the Christian community of Lee Abbey, North Devon for two years. Some of his college contemporaries thought the move would spell the end of a career in music. However it was during this time that his composition and performance skills were nurtured.
Now an established and experienced musician Simeon utilizes his gift to share with his audience the Christian faith that is a fundamental part of his life. He enjoys performing on a wide variety of platforms all over the world from theatres to palaces. When he’s not touring Simeon is regularly commissioned to compose music for television networks, film and record companies across the UK and America.
“An instrumentalist of dazzling versatility and inspiration.”
Playing on an ever increasing array of instruments adds another dimension to what is already an engaging and enthusiastic performance. Flute, bass flute, panpipes and Celtic whistles will weave their magic through a repertoire as diverse as the instruments themselves.
If you missed this evening you missed treat!

What a super evening with Simeon. Café Arts is welcoming, and Simeon’s performance was captivating. My first visit, but not my last!
Another wonderful evening! I could have listened to Simeon’s music – and his stories – for a lot longer!
