To kick off a new season of Cafe Arts we have a returning favourite. Rob Halligan has a new album and is coming to sing us new songs and some old favourites. If you have not heard Rob before make sure you make it to this one!
Once the BBC described Rob Halligan as “Bruce Springsteen having English tea with Billy Bragg” It’s been a good comparison although you could maybe invite more people along to the party, as Rob has been compared to Neil Diamond, Martyn Joseph and John Mayer.
Rob has recorded five albums – ‘Best thing That Happened’, ‘The Perils The Grace and The Way’, ‘Another Fine Mess’, ‘Love Come Down’, ‘Wild Horses’ and his latest album “We All Write The Songs”
As well as being a prolific writer, Rob tours extensively. He has played across the UK as well as shows in the USA, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong and Switzerland.
As one reviewer said, “This is songwriting craftsmanship at it’s best. Its’ a mystery why Rob isn’t better known”
